Three days of curated pre-race riding through the Karoo and Tankwa, then seven days inside the Gravel Burn race camp. Race entry, mechanic, support, premium lodges. Five spots only.
Most riders fly in, build a bike in a hotel room and start a seven-day stage race on jet lag. This trip exists to remove that. You land, you ride the terrain the race is run on, you get the bike dialled with a mechanic, and you start the race acclimatised.
Kevin Vermaak built the Cape Epic, then went and did it again on gravel. Gravel Burn runs roughly 750 kilometres over seven days from Graaff-Reinet to Shamwari, fully supported, in tented Burn Camps, with the biggest prize purse in gravel racing.
It is run by the organisers, not by us. We handle everything around it: the acclimatisation riding beforehand, the entry, the logistics, the mechanic, and the lodges either side.
Because the field is capped and we cap our own group at five, this is the one trip on our calendar where spaces genuinely run out.
Race entry is included but the field is capped and so is our group. If you are thinking about 2026, talk to us early.
